You have to learn to speak the language of your customers. If your buyers speak Japanese, your website better speak Japanese too. If you are serious about your global ambitions in a shrinking world, its time to convert your English website into a multi-lingual website. If you don’t, someone else will be more than happy to service that market segment.

What you need is:

  • Good translations by native speakers of your target market, who understand your subject. This is expensive, but depending on the size and value of your international market, its an investment worth every penny.
  • If you are running low on funds, you can settle for automated translations delivered by Google, or atleast get an Executive Summary / Single page translation done for your business.
  • If you use a CMS to power your website, the CMS may have many automated translation plugins. Read about automated translator plugins for WordPress.
  • Get a Design Agency that can handle multi-lingual website design and multi-lingual brochures. (Yes, that’s a sales pitch. We have handled English, French, German, Hindi, Japanese, Chinese and Korean websites – with oodles of help from English speaking customers.)
