For the last few years, we have been holding a ‘Science is Fun’ exhibition where school children make working science toys, largely with trash or things found in their homes. The intent is that they learn the concepts of science in a fun way, while applying their knowledge.
Children have made interesting toys using discarded vibrator from mobile phones and toothbrushes, and pumps using plastic bottles with coins.
With 3 successful science exhibitions behind us, we have managed to create an event that students wait for. Now, its time to expand. Have more rounds in different towns and cities. Need more resources – corporates to fund, NGOs to partner and execute the event.The exhibition is easy to conduct. I am working on a Standard Operating Procedure. Need partners.
